When Coach Mel said this statement on this session, “all good things comes to an end”, I said to myself, ‘”well, maybe but this is only the beginning of this precious and beautiful journey called coaching”

Yes, it’s the last blog on CCC – Catalyst Coaching Certification, but, huh, it is the beginning! The picture up there is exactly how I feel – I am excited that I am ready to plug with reckless abandon into the world of coaching.

Feel free to raise the roof and dance. Celebration is in order. Yes, the dance is set for brand new sets of coaches to be set forth to transform the world (this isn’t wishful thinking) – we have been trained by a Master Coach and sharpened our saw with the best of minds in this cohort.

The Infamous entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk defines Hustle as…“Putting all your effort into achieving the Goal at Hand or making every minute count.  The bottomline is every minute that you can apply to your Game…you need to!”

This is now the time for me (like every other catalyst coaches) to put in all effort to enjoy this new journey.

Coach Mel Highlighted 5 Cycles of False Starts that could deter that move:

-Self Sabotage (self defeating beliefs that create barriers to success): That inner voice that makes you feel like you can’t do something.

– Procrastination (the gap between intention and action): Look at the procrastination cycle. Guilt, Panic, etc. Look at the cycle and ask yourself, “How is this serving me?” If it doesn’t bring me benefits, it’s time to take it out.

– Unworthiness (sorry, I am not good enough): Feeling that you don’t deserve that happiness. Perhaps, from low self esteem.

Check what cognitive dissonance means – occurs when a person holds contradictory beliefs, ideas, or values, and is typically experienced as psychological stress when they participate in an action that goes against one or more of them.  We see the world as we are, instead of the way it is.

– Uncertainty (the need to be in control): We are always trying to rescue our ego, our pride, etc to try to counterbalance the lack of being in control.

– Scapegoats (when things don’t work out the way you want it)

Everything in coaching can be summarized into: PAC

P – Perspectives.

The thoughts, the identity, the value, the beliefs and the emotions of the coachee. I am in their live to help them change it into the ones that help them achieve their own success.

A – Affirmation.

You may be the only person in the life of your coachee affirming them to their human potentials – This is one of the most powerful statements Coach Mel said, that I want to constantly remember in my coaching career and to do it well. Affirm your volunteers and employees and family.

C – Celebration

Celebrating every milestone (even if it looks tiny). It shows that you are moving forward and taking steps gradually. Life isn’t linear. You can’t plan the whole journey. You just need to take the first step and see what comes through.

My Key Takeaway:

You have to open yourself to the world in and around you.

Live out the quest.

It is worth taking that first step.

Life is organic.
